Project Description

Status Complicated was a university project where I collaborated with another course that had created a band. My task was to design and develop a website that would help them advertise their music, upcoming shows, and sell merchandise. The project focused on creating a platform that catered to fans who wanted to engage with the band and purchase their products.

The Story

The website was built as part of a university project, where I was tasked with helping a newly-formed band by designing a fully-functional website. The goal was to create a platform that would allow fans to easily discover the band’s music, learn about upcoming shows, and purchase their merchandise. I was responsible for both the design and development, ensuring the site was responsive and easy to use.

My Approach

I used a combination of PHP, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL to build the site. The most challenging aspect was developing a custom checkout system and product pages, as we were restricted from using APIs for this project. I worked around this limitation by creating a fully custom-built solution for the merchandise section, ensuring a smooth and secure purchasing process for fans.
